This 46-unit project in Amherst, NY is the first affordable senior project in over 10 years and fills a gap in the housing market for people 55 and over with incomes up to 50% and 60% of the area median income. The building reused an underutilized site with a former fire substation. Funding was provided by the New York state Low Income Housing Tax Credit Program, New York State Housing Trust Fund, the Town of Amherst HOME funds, NYSERDA, and Key Community Development Corp.
